Pediatric Dentisty Services

At Jain’s Dental Villa every facet of our operations is designed with kids in mind. We establish a setting where young patients feel secure and comfortable. Since each child is different, we provide special needs accommodations, a range of comfort options and sedative treatments where necessary to guarantee a satisfying experience. In order to help children gain confidence from a young age, we want dental appointments to be stress free and pleasant.
Families can easily get everything their child needs for a healthy smile with comprehensive pediatric dental care in one location. Our staff is available to assist with every phase of your child’s oral health, from standard examinations, cleanings, and fluoride treatments to more complex restorative procedures like crowns, fillings, and pediatric root canals.

 Pediatric Preventive Dentistry

Our objective is to demonstrate that prevention is both feasible and preferable to future therapy, which may be more costly and traumatic. Every appointment includes these discussions, which our dental assistants are trained to conduct. Our objective is to provide the family with the knowledge, resources, and tools necessary to identify the regions of their child’s mouth that are problematic and to provide specific tasks to complete between now and their next appointment in order to prevent dental decay. Nutrition, at home-hygiene and anticipatory guidance are discussed in your child’s dental appointment.
Our staff at Jain’s Dental Villa takes the time to show parents and caregivers age-appropriate home-care methods during each preventive dentistry visit. This covers the right way to brush and floss, as well as the kinds of tools to employ to accomplish the task (soft bristles brushes, for example). We also talk about snacking and meal choices, and we begin talking to the parents about cavities and ways to lower their child’s risk of oral and dental health issues.
It is crucial for parents to realize that examining a child for cavities is just one aspect of our evaluation process. In order to better understand the child’s development and any underlying (often undetected) problems, we look for age-appropriate developmental milestones.
Infants: A tethered oral tissue could be a reason difficulty in nursing
Toddlers: We evaluate behavioral problems like ADD/ADHD and oral habits like thumb sucking and their impact on development of palatal structures.
Growing, mixed dentition: This is a stage when both primary and permanent teeth are present. We assess the readiness for an early orthodontic appliance in order to allow the jaws to expand adequately to suit the developing adult dentition.

Every child’s growth is evaluated differently and on a continuum. Seeing a child twice a year allows us to have a unique perspective on their general development beyond their teeth and to educate the parent about other aspects of the child’s life that may require attention as they mature.

Sealants and Fluoride: Establishing good dental practices at home, such as using a soft-bristled toothbrush twice a day for 2 minutes each time and flossing every day, is the best method to avoid cavities and tooth decay. We help protect your child’s teeth from decay.

Sealants: Sealants are coatings that are painted on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth (molars) and can prevent cavities for many years. School-age children (ages 6-11) without sealants have almost 3 times more 1st molar cavities than those with sealants.
Fluoride: Cavities and tooth decay occur because of the influence of bacteria on enamel. Fluoride naturally occurs in most of our tap water. Fluoride can be applied if necessary.

Pediatric Restorative Dentistry

Our staff at Jain’s Dental Villa can assist in providing gentle treatment if your kid has recently experienced a dental accident or if their tooth has been harmed by trauma or untreated cavities. The greatest method to save your child’s teeth and avoid major problems later on is to get dental care as soon as possible. Restorative dentistry for kids makes your child feel better and keep their teeth healthy in the future.
Cavity Treatment: Cavities are a prevalent dental issue in children that we treat often at our office. Although there are several causes of cavities, poor dental hygiene, sugar-rich diets, and hereditary factors can all contribute to the formation of cavities.
Pediatric Fillings: Pediatric fillings are recommended for cavities that are small and identified early. Composite resin fillings are used to treat your child’s cavities. Porcelain and silver amalgam can also be used to treat cavities.
Pediatric Dental Crowns: Our dentists could suggest a pediatric dental crown if a cavity is really large or if the decay has spread to other teeth. Pediatric dental crowns, which resemble a tooth’s sleeve, assist the damaged or injured tooth and stop additional deterioration. A root canal may be required before a crown is placed if there is an infection.

 Sedation Dentistry

Our staff is dedicated to making your child feel secure and at ease throughout their dental operations and treatments. Behaviour modification approaches are followed for pre-cooperative children especially in cases which require extensive dental care, complex dental operations.
Our team is well-equipped in working with anxious children and if the parent gives us permission to connect, we have methods to win them over with patience and persistence.
We can provide safe sedative choices if your child is more tense than usual. No matter how enjoyable and soothing our office is, your child may occasionally require assistance in becoming comfortable, and that’s perfectly acceptable! We have the right anesthetics to ensure your child doesn’t experience any pain throughout restorative dentistry procedures, such as extractions, fillings, or cleanings that could take longer.
Methods of Sedation
There are various safe sedation alternatives available, depending on the procedure or treatment. Your child will find all of our sedation alternatives to be secure, efficient and comfortable. We collaborate with the family to choose the optimal course of therapy for their child based on their individual needs as well as the preferences of the parents.
Sedation Options
Nitrous Oxide: Nitrous Oxide is also called laughing gas. Inhalation sedation using Nitrous Oxide is a commonly used method of sedation.
Oral Conscious Sedation: Oral sedation involves administration of the medication through the mouth so that the child feels drowsy. This makes the child more cooperative thus making the treatment easy.
General Anesthesia: For more complex procedures, we provide in-office general anesthesia in which a certified anesthesiologist visits our office once a month to help keep the child soundly asleep so the dental team can do all necessary procedures in a secure setting. When the child wakes up, they have no recollection of the appointment, which makes it a fantastic place to start working on prevention once more.
